great week this week.
-note: for all my friends not in Hawaii, Hele on means to go in hawaiian/pidgin.
-some really breakthrough ideas as we continue to work on our discipleship process
-love the investment we are making to make disciples
-praying that through our discussions we land on a clear and effective process to make solid disciples
-fall sermon series are looking tight
-Kapolei media department came through with a great video we will be unleashing as a part of our 1 life to live series. we will be rolling it out on Sept 13.
-locked down a few testimonies for the 1 life to live series that are absolutely powerful
-finished up our parenting small group this week. excited to get back to our normal small group schedule.
-church was unreal
-tc and the worship were on point
-moved the screens and the feel of the room felt great
-both 830 and 1000 services seemed pretty full
-said goodbye to Alex Sharp. Sharp will be going to Japan to disciple the nation.
-Love the passion, courage, and faith that Alex lives his life with. I am sure God will use this man in huge ways
-tried to tweet the 10am svc today from @gbckapolei on our new twitter account.
-Mike did a phenomenal job of communicating the word. Here are some take aways:
“Jesus is our missions message”
“Am I trying to earn my way to Jesus?”
“Jesus did not reject the woman at the well” (i wonder how many of us reject people and choose not to share the love of Jesus)
“Our good works are worthless compared to the gift that Jesus gives”
-sat in with our youth team for lunch. Super excited about what we got cooking for the youth.
-Mapped out message series for the rest of the year.
